M113k Cylinderhead swap on M113 turbo.   I started this job with cleaning the heads.  In this video the Heads are done and ready for installation.   All ports are vacuum tested. all valves are regrind.

I had already removed the Old m113 ZAS heads.   The are for sale if your interested. These Heads where only on the car for 400km after the full rebuild. so the are in very good conditon.

The m113k heads will be installe with new headsgaskets offcourse and because i have headstuds i can re-use the whole set. With oem head studs this is alsp possible if the are within a certain lenght but i would change them always.

Head will be installed with a small sealer line under the headgasket. On top just areound the cooling chamber outside. And around the oil gallery and timing chain housing.  So Not around the cylinder bushings.

Everything is torque done to 110nm in 4 stages. Oem headstuds have a seperated torque value.  and M8 bolts to 20nm

After this the camshafts sprocket bolt need to go to 50nm and 90 degree’s .  Chain tensionair to 80nm.

Now the timing can be checked. from base position with the markings on the camshafts. 40degree on the crank pulley.  no turn 14 rotations. and the marktings should line up again. if this is correct timing is on the way it should.

afterwards i placed the rocker covers these need to go to 8nm and the small m4 m5 just hand tight.

if there are any questions just aks
