Mercedes E55 AMG W211 is the Best AMG it is not showing on the outside but it is a monster on the inside
this car is not for beginners it is just to fast.
but it is on my list next to the CLS55 . but if you want a sleeper
the E55 is better. it is very comfortable in normall suspensions mode and the transmission in comfort you will not feel anything from the racecar that is underneath. But if you want to can get under 4.5 sec from 0-100 klm . and on 16 sec to 200 klm. what is serious fast. and today these cars are very cheap for what you get beacuse the platfomr of this car is very reliable. The base of the engine is already on the market from 1998 and the transmission setup from 1995 so all the bad spots where solved at the time this car came on the market. With normall maintenance this car will do easy 500K miles . on paper the SL55 was the fastest with this M113K base engine with 4.3 sec but in a review of car & driver the E55 AMG did 0-100 in 4.1 sec. the E55 AMG W211 can be picked up for prices from of around 10K up to 30K depending on running mileage. This car was the best sold AMG up to the point of C63 AMG. and it is only produced from 2002-2006 it was also the Fastest 4 door saloon car on the market up to the point of the S65 AMG introduction.
This is must have car on the bucketlist if you are a car guy This is best HP for money .
